Fillable PDFs
Upload a PDF that has form fields (text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns) and let the AI fill them with data extracted from your documents.
What is a fillable PDF?
A fillable PDF contains interactive form fields — you've probably seen them in government forms, applications, or contracts where you can click and type in fields. These PDFs have defined form regions that the AI can detect and fill.
How to tell if a PDF is fillable
- Open it in a PDF viewer (Preview, Adobe Reader)
- If you can click on fields and type text → it's fillable
- If it's a flat image with no interactive fields → it's not fillable (use Excel templates instead)
Uploading a PDF form
- Click PDF Forms in the left sidebar
- Click Upload or drag your fillable PDF
- The PDF opens in a preview with detected form fields highlighted
Filling a PDF form
- First, process a source document to extract data (see Document Processing)
- Open your PDF form template
- Click Auto-Detect Mappings
- Watch as the AI fills each form field in real time (streaming)
- Review the filled PDF preview
The preview updates live as fields are filled — you can see values appearing in the PDF as the AI works.
